Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. In this long-term contract role, you will play a key part in managing invoice processing, check runs, and coding invoices with accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner to ensure smooth financial operations. • Perform coding and verification of invoices to ensure compliance with company policies. • Prepare and execute check runs, ensuring all payments are processed correctly. • Reconcile discrepancies and resolve invoice-related issues promptly. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records for all accounts payable transactions. • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data effectively. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities by ensuring all payable entries are complete. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments. • Familiarity with check runs and related financial procedures. • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data management and basic analysis. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle discrepancies effectively.
