Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in North Charleston, South Carolina. This is a Contract-to-Permanent position within the automotive industry, offering an excellent opportunity to grow with a dynamic organization. The ideal candidate will have experience managing high volumes of accounts payable tasks and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Process and review vendor invoices accurately and promptly. • Code invoices appropriately to ensure proper allocation within the accounting system. • Manage payments and reconcile monthly invoices with precision. • Handle purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies. • Enter invoices into the accounting system in a timely and efficient manner. • Collaborate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and maintain positive relationships. • Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company procedures. • Provide support in transitioning to and utilizing new accounting software, as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including handling high volumes of transactions. • Proficiency in coding and processing invoices within accounting systems. • Familiarity with managing purchase orders and vendor relationships. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. • Solid organizational and communication skills. • Experience with accounting software; familiarity with new systems is a plus. • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
