Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Lenexa, Kansas. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing full-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in handling invoices and payments. This position offers a dynamic work environment with an immediate start date. Responsibilities: • Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoice verification and payment approvals. • Ensure timely and accurate entry of invoices into the accounting system. • Address discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams. • Maintain organized records of payments and invoices for auditing purposes. • Reconcile accounts payable transactions to ensure financial accuracy. • Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and workflows. • Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable activities. • Respond promptly to inquiries regarding payment statuses and vendor accounts. • Adhere to company policies and procedures while ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Strong understanding of full-cycle accounts payable processes. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders. • Problem-solving skills to address invoice discrepancies. • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. • Availability to start immediately.
