Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Piperton, Tennessee. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficient processing of invoices and reconciliation tasks while collaborating with various departments to resolve discrepancies. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to process improvements. Responsibilities: • Process a high volume of invoices daily, including drop shipments and stock-related invoices. • Match purchase orders with inventory receipts and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Investigate and address account discrepancies, ensuring timely problem resolution. • Perform reconciliations to clear backlogs and support audit-related tasks. • Collaborate with teams across sales, purchasing, and quality departments to identify and resolve issues. • Utilize accounting software effectively, including transitioning to its cloud-based version. • Conduct basic-level Excel tasks, such as creating formulas, pivot tables, and performing VLOOKUPs. • Analyze root causes of recurring issues and implement solutions to improve processes. • Ask questions and actively contribute to process improvement initiatives. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice processing and coding. • Familiarity with 3-way matching for purchase orders, receipts, and invoices. • Proficiency in using accounting software and performing basic Excel functions. • Strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills to address discrepancies and audit findings. • Ability to handle a high volume of invoice processing with attention to detail. • Excellent communication skills for cross-department collaboration. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities. • Knowledge of 10-key entry and other relevant accounting tools.
