Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Daytona Beach, Florida. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing vendor accounts, ensuring accurate payments, and maintaining financial records within the construction industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced and collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Oversee petty cash accounts and accurately record all outgoing disbursements. • Analyze vendor payment agreements to identify potential discounts and reduce invoice amounts. • Ensure timely payment of sales taxes on applicable invoices and document all tax-related transactions. • Monitor credits owed to the company and apply them correctly to vendor payments. • Reconcile monthly accounts payable reports to verify the accuracy of payments and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with vendors to address and resolve past-due invoices in a thorough and efficient manner. • Assist with invoice processing and ensure payments are assigned to the correct cost centers. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all financial transactions and vendor communications. • Support monthly reconciliation of statements with vendors to ensure consistency and accuracy. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for productivity tasks. • Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records. • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams. • Familiarity with accounts payable processes and best practices. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
