Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Salem, Oregon. This long-term contract position is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for accuracy in financial processes. The role involves managing vendor invoices, supporting accounting tasks, and contributing to system implementation projects. Responsibilities: • Learn company processes and systems by shadowing the outgoing employee to ensure a smooth transition. • Process approximately 500-600 vendor invoices weekly, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Match invoices to purchase orders, review vendor statements, and reconcile discrepancies. • Provide support for accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll functions. • Organize and maintain filing systems related to accounts payable documentation. • Assist with onboarding new subsidiaries under the holding company. • Participate in the implementation of inventory management and accounting systems, such as NetSuite. • Update inventory tracking and perform adjustments within the accounting system. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate records. • Cover front desk responsibilities as needed to support overall operations. Requirements • Strong proficiency in accounts payable processes, including invoice coding and check runs. • Experience with accounting software, with NetSuite knowledge preferred. • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with accounts receivable, payroll, and cost accounting principles. • Ability to manage high volumes of data entry with exceptional attention to detail. • Flexibility to take on additional tasks, such as front desk coverage, as required. • Previous experience in inventory tracking and reconciliation is a plus. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
