Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Savannah, Georgia. This contract position offers an opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment, ensuring accurate and efficient invoice processing, payment management, and adherence to accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Process and code invoices accurately to ensure timely payments. • Manage provider payments and reconcile credit card transactions. • Maintain and update general ledger entries to reflect accurate financial data. • Utilize Salesforce to oversee the Accounts Payable Dashboard and generate accounting reports. • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements. • Provide assistance during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. • Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve accounting-related issues. • Review and complete expense reports while ensuring compliance with company policies. • Support the Accounts Receivable team when needed. • Perform other accounting duties as assigned to meet departmental goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent work experience may be considered. • At least 1-2 years of experience in accounts payable, with a focus on rental invoicing. • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Excel. • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices. • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective research skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
