Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including invoice processing, check runs, and supporting audits. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with potential for career growth. This is a short-term contract employment oppotunity. Responsibilities: • Manage the administrative and clerical tasks required by the Accounts Payable and Finance Department. • Accurately execute daily financial processes and controls while adhering to company policies. • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and business partners. • Assist with both internal and external audits as needed. • Handle and distribute incoming departmental mail on a daily basis. • Sort, log, photocopy, and file invoices, checks, and related documents. • Verify, log, and mail checks, ensuring timely processing and managing special handling requests. • Take on special projects as assigned to support departmental goals. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field. • At least two years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with diverse teams. • Demonstrated ability to manage deadlines and multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Familiarity with accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and processing payments.
