Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client's team in Lake Elmo, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a keen eye for accuracy. Responsibilities: • Process and record accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Perform data entry tasks related to invoice processing and payment records. • Verify and code invoices to the appropriate accounts. • Prepare and execute check runs for vendor payments. • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation. • Collaborate with internal teams to address payment inquiries and support month-end closing activities. • Monitor AP aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances. • Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and support. *Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role. • Strong proficiency in account reconciliation and managing AP processes. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. • Familiarity with coding invoices and general ledger systems. • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal stakeholders.
