Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Henrico, Virginia. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the efficient management of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in processing invoices. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of accounts payable operations. Responsibilities: • Process and verify invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies. • Perform coding of invoices and maintain proper documentation for financial records. • Manage and execute regular check runs to facilitate timely payments. • Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and resolve issues with vendors as needed. • Ensure all payments are processed and recorded accurately within the designated timeline. • Collaborate with internal departments to streamline accounts payable processes. • Generate reports related to accounts payable activities for management review. • Monitor accounts payable aging and address overdue payments promptly. • Maintain organized and up-to-date records of all financial transactions. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and handling check runs. • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. • Ability to process high volumes of invoices efficiently and accurately. • Solid understanding of invoice processing and reconciliation procedures. • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. • Familiarity with financial accounting software and tools. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
