Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Mentor, Ohio. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining up-to-date records. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts receivable and payable transactions, ensuring smooth integration between operating systems and the general ledger. • Record, verify, and post customer payments, maintaining accurate transaction records. • Handle deposits, including cash and checks, that are not scanned by technicians. • Conduct collection calls to address open customer receivable balances. • Update and maintain customer files, ensuring all information is current and accurate. • Reconcile customer receivable balances and review aging reports to align with the general ledger. • Support invoice coding, processing, and check runs to ensure timely payments. • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in coding invoices and conducting check runs. • Strong skills in invoice processing and managing financial data. • Attention to detail and ability to reconcile balances accurately. • Excellent communication skills for conducting collection calls and updating customer records. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Familiarity with general ledger systems and financial software. • Strong organizational skills and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
