Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity within the wholesale distribution industry, offering a dynamic role for a detail-oriented individual. Responsibilities: • Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, coding, and payment approvals. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies efficiently. • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and vendor payments. • Conduct regular check runs and ensure compliance with company policies. • Input and maintain accurate financial data in the system to support reporting requirements. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data and generate reports as needed. • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to address payment inquiries and discrepancies. • Maintain organized records and documentation for auditing and compliance purposes. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable. • Adhere to in-office work requirements five days a week. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related role. • Proficiency in accounts payable operations, including invoice processing and check runs. • Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to resolve account discrepancies. • Solid data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting. • Excellent organizational and communication skills to collaborate effectively. • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving. • Willingness to work on-site five days a week.
