The Rail division of Transdev, provides an integrated suite of railroad infrastructure maintenance, signaling, project oversight, and construction services to our clients, both freight and passenger rail. The Assistant General Manager supports the General Manager in the RTA Maintenance of Way Rail Project. This position is based in Miami, FL. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the contract, facility and safety of personnel and managing the financials.

Key Responsibilities:
Completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling vendor invoices.Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balancesCharge expenses to appropriate GL account and cost centers, entering information in BottomlineEnsuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are dueVerifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsMaintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by maintaining master accounts payable reportWork closely with inventory manager to review and verify purchase ordersConfirming subcontractor billed working hours, equipment hours, and projectsProficient data entry skillsOther duties as required.• Travel requirement outside of immediate area (as a percent): <10%
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree in Accounting plus 4 years of related experience.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office.Attention to detail.Experience with government constructions contracts a plus.
