Accounts Payable Clerk

Location: Newcastle (Hybrid working)

Salary: £24,675 to £26,250 (dependent on experience)

Working hours: 37.5 per week

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic ‘Accounts Payable Clerk’ to join our team in a hybrid role. If you are based in the North East, and are looking for a flexible role, we would love to hear from you.

 

In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate recording of supplier invoices and timely payments in accordance with Lookers' policies.

Responsibilities Accurate and timely registration of invoices authorised according to the authority matrixEnsuring timely payment runs and responding promptly to supplier queriesEnsure accurate recovery of input VATPerform monthly supplier statement reconciliationMaintaining timely closure of purchase ledger at month end in accordance with management accounts deadlines Qualifications

Experience:

Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a natural analytical ability and keen attention to detail. Strong commercial acumen and customer focus are also important. While prior experience in Accounts is a plus, it is not essential. The ideal candidate will be able to think creatively when resolving issues and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
