Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Fairfield, Ohio. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the accurate processing of invoices, reconciliation of accounts, and other essential financial tasks for our manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for professionals with strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail. Responsibilities: • Process and match invoices to purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. • Track and verify receipts to confirm goods and services have been delivered. • Prepare and organize batches for entry into financial systems. • Reconcile weekly check runs against paid invoices to maintain accurate records. • Perform data entry and update vendor information using Canopy software. • Ensure service invoices are properly approved and coded to the correct accounts. • Utilize the Canopy purchase order system to process transactions and assign accounts. • Familiarize yourself with the company's chart of accounts to ensure proper allocation. • Collaborate with the maintenance team to process their accounts efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles. • Proficiency in invoice processing, coding, and data entry. • Familiarity with account reconciliation and check runs. • Experience with chart of accounts and accurate account allocation. • Knowledge of financial software systems, with Canopy experience being a plus. • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis. • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
