Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Washington, District of Columbia. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for someone with a strong background in managing invoice processing and reconciliation tasks. The role requires attention to detail and efficiency in handling high-volume data entry. Responsibilities: • Process invoices with accuracy and ensure timely reconciliation of Visa transactions. • Handle high-volume data entry tasks while maintaining organization and precision. • Code invoices appropriately and verify compliance with company policies. • Conduct regular check runs and ensure payments are processed on schedule. • Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency. • Maintain accurate records of accounts payable activities for audit and reporting purposes. • Provide support for month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable. • Communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and issues. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar financial role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments. • Demonstrated ability to handle high-volume data entry tasks efficiently. • Familiarity with check runs and payment reconciliation processes. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team. • Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and colleagues.
