Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description: Accounts Payable SpecialistDuties and Responsibilities:Review and verify expense reports for accuracy and compliance.Reconcile expense reports and financial records with account balances.Facilitate timely vendor payments, including:Verifying federal ID numbersReviewing purchase ordersResolving discrepanciesMonitor and apply outstanding obligations upon payment.Identify and apply available discounts; issue purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.Manage petty cash, including documentation verification and distribution.Calculate and report sales tax based on paid invoices.Reconcile bank and vendor statements.Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with internal policies and accounting standards.Communicate professionally with vendors to resolve issues and ensure smooth transactions.Perform other related duties as assigned.Required Skills and Qualifications:Proven reliability and a high level of trustworthiness.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Ability to quickly learn and utilize accounting software, including Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Solid understanding of accounts payable processes and best practices.Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accurate financial records.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
