Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Vista, California. This role involves ensuring accuracy in invoice processing, vendor payments, and maintaining clean monthly financial records. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounts payable systems and a strong ability to manage deadlines effectively. Responsibilities: • Perform three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure accuracy. • Process biweekly check runs with an average of $5,000-$6,000 per cycle. • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Maintain clean and up-to-date financial records for monthly close processes. • Ensure all invoices are coded correctly and processed efficiently. • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics, Excel, and inventory software to manage accounts payable tasks. • Handle vendor payments via credit card as required. • Collaborate with other departments to resolve invoicing and payment issues. • Support the month-end close process by ensuring no accruals and accurate records. • Monitor and address outstanding balances to maintain vendor relationships. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable, including invoice coding and processing. • Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software. • Strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reconciliation. • Familiarity with three-way matching processes. • Ability to manage check runs and vendor payments efficiently. • Experience with inventory software is a plus. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Strong communication skills for vendor and team interactions.
