Description We are looking for an organized and detail-driven Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Whites Creek, Tennessee. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting financial operations. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and integrity of our Accounts Payable function. Responsibilities: • Process and manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions, including invoice entry and coding. • Verify accuracy by matching purchase orders, receipts, and invoices to ensure proper documentation. • Prepare and execute payments such as check runs, ACH transfers, and wire transactions promptly. • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies or billing concerns. • Maintain detailed and accurate records for all accounts payable activities. • Assist in month-end closing procedures, including accruals and account reconciliations. • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment or invoice-related issues. • Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls. • Provide necessary documentation and support during audits. • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency. Requirements • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable; experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus. • Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills, such as pivot tables and V-lookups. • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks. • Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Demonstrated integrity and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
