Job Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving invoices, performing electronic check matching, and entering AP entries into the ERP system while documenting and correcting any errors. You will also communicate with internal partners to resolve invoice issues and ensure incoming documentation meets all requirements. Additionally, you will perform other minor accounting functions and cover for other team members as needed.
ResponsibilitiesReview and approve invoices and perform electronic check matching.Enter AP entries into the ERP system, documenting and correcting any errors.Communicate with internal partners regarding invoice issues and resolve them.Ensure incoming documentation meets all requirements.Perform other minor accounting functions as needed.Cover and fill in for other team members as needed.Essential SkillsAccounts payable experience with 2 or more years preferred.Ability to manually process 1400-1700 invoices monthly, totaling 6k including approvals.Experience with JDE or similar ERP systems preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma required; Associates Degree or higher preferred.Strong computer and data entry skills, with at least 6 months of experience.Experience in larger ERP systems is preferred.Work Environment
The position is onsite from Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. You will be part of a close-knit team of six people, all cross-trained to support each other in completing monthly duties. The office features open-ended cubicles and can be noisy with phone conversations once onsite. Training will occur in the office and may take up to a week. Benefits include PTO, a 6% 401k, student debt relief, and sick pay.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
