Description Robert Half is seeking a Entry-Level Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk for a healthcare organization located in St. Croix Falls, Wisconsin. This contract position is perfect for individuals looking to grow their career in accounting and finance while gaining valuable hands-on experience in accounts payable. As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you will be a critical part of the accounting team, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring the efficient processing of vendor invoices and payments. Key Responsibilities: + Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner into the accounting system. + Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts while resolving any discrepancies. + Maintain vendor records and ensure accurate documentation for all transactions. + Respond to vendor inquiries regarding payments and assist in resolving payment discrepancies. + Assist with weekly check runs, ACH transactions, and wire transfers. + Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies in all AP processes. + Perform data entry and filing of invoices and payment records for easy retrieval. + Collaborate with the accounting team on month-end and year-end closing tasks related to accounts payable. + Provide general administrative support to the finance department as needed. Requirements Qualifications: + Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in accounting is a plus. + Experience: No prior accounting experience needed, but any relevant internships, coursework, or office experience is a plus. + Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling numerical data. + Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Strong communication skills for interacting with vendors and team members. + Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
