Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas, on a contract to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about solving complex problems, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies. Responsibilities: • Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice verification, coding, and payment processing. • Reconcile discrepancies and resolve issues related to vendor accounts and transactions. • Perform regular check runs and ensure timely payments to vendors. • Accurately input and maintain financial data in the company's system. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper documentation and compliance with financial policies. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze and organize data effectively. • Maintain detailed records of all accounts payable activities for auditing purposes. • Support month-end closing procedures by providing accurate accounts payable reports. • Communicate with vendors to address inquiries and resolve payment-related issues. • Work on-site five days a week to ensure seamless operations and team collaboration. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field. • Proven expertise in full-cycle accounts payable processes. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to reconcile accounts and address discrepancies. • Proficiency in data entry and invoice processing. • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in an office environment. • Commitment to maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
