Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client in Cranston, Rhode Island. In this role, you will support the Accounts Payable Manager by ensuring efficient and accurate processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests. Responsibilities: • Accurately process and code vendor invoices and expense reports to the correct accounts and cost centers. • Verify and reconcile freight invoices by cross-checking them against shipping documents. • Facilitate the processing of check requests in a timely manner. • Maintain vendor records by creating new files and updating existing ones as needed. • Reconcile vendor statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Escalate unresolved vendor invoice issues promptly to ensure timely resolution. • Support the Accounts Payable Manager in maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures Requirements • Demonstrated experience in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and reconciliation. • Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel. • Strong skills in data entry and coding invoices with attention to detail. • Ability to perform account reconciliations accurately and efficiently. • Familiarity with check runs and vendor statement management. • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks. • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
