Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Clerk for a busy and reputable automotive client in Carlsbad, CA. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll be a key part of the accounting team, ensuring vendors are paid on time and financial data is up to date. Key Responsibilities: + Process a high volume of vendor invoices with accuracy and timeliness + Match purchase orders, packing slips, and invoices for proper documentation + Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies + Prepare weekly check runs and electronic payments + Maintain AP aging reports and assist with month-end close + Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve payment issues + Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies + Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and reporting Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred + 2+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the automotive or service industry + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines + Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
