Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Fairfield, California. This is a contract position where you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accurate processing of invoices. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings strong organizational and problem-solving skills to support the accounting team. Responsibilities: • Process a high volume of invoices efficiently and accurately to support weekly check runs. • Enter invoices, checks, and other financial documents into RollMaster software with precision. • Follow company policies to execute daily processes and controls without errors. • Manage customer deposits, reconcile weekly cash, and handle bank deposits. • Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, contract invoices, or payments while maintaining proper documentation. • Ensure invoices include applicable sales tax and organize records for quarterly sales tax reporting. • Provide general support to the accounting team, assisting with various tasks as needed. • Maintain organized and up-to-date accounts payable files for easy access and reference. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in an accounts payable role, preferably in a high-volume setting. • Strong attention to detail and excellent data entry skills. • Proficiency in 10-key accounting and familiarity with coding invoices. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently. • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively within a team. • Experience with RollMaster software is beneficial but not required.
