Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in San Diego, California. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment, focusing on grant funding and financial operations. The role requires precision, reliability, and a proactive approach to managing tasks. Responsibilities: • Manage the full accounts payable cycle, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Process a high volume of invoices, ranging from 600 to 1,000 per month. • Conduct regular check runs and ensure payments are completed efficiently. • Utilize Financial Edge and proprietary systems for processing, with training provided. • Maintain detailed records to support grant funding operations and audits. • Collaborate with the team to address inquiries and resolve discrepancies. • Take initiative to request additional work when tasks are completed. • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. • Contribute to the smooth operation of in-office workflows. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial processing. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to ask pertinent questions. • Demonstrated reliability and commitment to an in-office work environment. • Ability to handle high-volume invoice processing efficiently. • Familiarity with Financial Edge or similar accounting systems is a plus. • Proactive attitude and willingness to take on additional responsibilities. • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
