Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. This is a long-term contract position offering a dynamic opportunity to support the financial operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing vendor payments, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
• Review and validate invoices for accuracy and proper authorization prior to processing.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies.
• Enter invoices into accounting systems efficiently to facilitate timely payment.
• Schedule and execute payments through various methods, including checks, wire transfers, and electronic systems.
• Maintain strong vendor relationships by resolving payment disputes and addressing inquiries.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and vendor statements to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and journal entries to support month-end closing activities.
• Organize and maintain documentation for all accounts payable processes to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure proper recording and approval of expenditures.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and team members to address financial matters. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment management.
• Strong skills in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, SAP, or QuickBooks.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for reporting and data analysis.
• Familiarity with coding invoices and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
• Ability to perform accurate data entry with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills to manage financial records.
• Strong communication skills for vendor management and collaboration with internal teams.
