Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Part Time Accounts Payable Clerk to support our financial operations on a contract basis. This position is based in Fresno, California, and offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the accounts payable processes in an agriculture-focused organization. The role is only 3-days a week with 5-6hrs per day. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Famous Software and a strong background in handling financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Accurately process accounts payable transactions using Famous Software. • Review invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests to verify accuracy and proper authorization. • Manage vendor accounts by maintaining records and reconciling statements. • Prepare and execute electronic transfers and payment processes promptly. • Monitor account balances to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies as needed. • Assist in month-end closing activities and generate financial reports. • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to address issues or inquiries effectively. • Uphold confidentiality of financial information and compliance with company policies. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role, preferably within the agriculture industry. • Proficiency in Famous Software or comparable accounting platforms. • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial tasks. • Excellent organizational and time management abilities. • Capability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle. • Associate degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
