Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in New York, New York. In this role, you will handle essential financial tasks such as processing purchase order requests, coding invoices, and resolving payment discrepancies. Responsibilities: • Process and submit purchase order requests accurately and efficiently. • Code invoices and ensure they are recorded correctly in the accounting system. • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies to maintain financial accuracy. • Reconcile accounts and verify the accuracy of financial records. • Conduct data entry tasks to support accounts payable operations. • Process vendor invoices promptly and in compliance with company policies. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data. • Operate within SAP to manage accounts payable processes effectively. Requirements • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related financial role. • Proficiency in coding invoices and processing payments. • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Knowledge of invoice processing and account reconciliation. • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for financial tasks and reporting. • Experience working with SAP or similar financial systems. • A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
