Description We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Clerk for our client in Covington, Louisiana. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with company policies. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic department while supporting essential accounting operations. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Manage administrative and clerical tasks for the Accounts Payable and Finance departments. • Execute daily financial processes and controls with precision and adherence to company policies. • Deliver excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and business partners. • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support. • Open, sort, and distribute incoming department mail efficiently. • Organize, log, copy, and file invoices, checks, and other financial documents. • Verify and process checks, including handling special requests and expedited processing. • Participate in special projects to support departmental goals and initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a similar role preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial tools. • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage shifting priorities. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across technical and financial teams. • Experience in account reconciliation, invoice processing, and coding invoices. • Ability to handle check runs and data entry with accuracy and efficiency.
