Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk for a mission-driven nonprofit organization. Key Responsibilities: As the AP Clerk, you will play an essential role in maintaining the organization’s financial integrity by handling the following: + Verify, code, and process incoming invoices, ensuring proper approval processes are followed. + Record vendor payments and expenses into the accounting system accurately and promptly. + Assist with check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers for vendors. + Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. + Maintain and organize accurate AP records and documentation for compliance purposes. + Assist with month-end close tasks, such as AP reconciliations and journal entries. Requirements + 1–3 years of accounts payable experience + , preferably in a nonprofit or grant-funded organization. + Basic knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with nonprofit accounting preferred. + Proficiency in accounting software (knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar system is a plus) and Microsoft Excel. + High attention to detail, with the ability to handle sensitive data confidentially. + Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
