Accounts Payable Assistant

Job Title: Accounts Payable Assistant Location: Dublin 2 Reports to: AP Finance Manager / AP Supervisor Job Overview: Accounts Payable Assistant (contract) Job Responsibilities: + Ensuring all invoices are processed on time. + Organising supplier payment runs/manual payments. + Adhering to week/quarter end deadlines for assigned entities. + Ongoing review of AP aging and GRIR reports to identify and analyze aging problems and take corrective action as required. + Participate in the quarter end close process for AP. + Liaise with cross functional teams on query resolution and global alignment where applicable. + Ensure queries are dealt with in a swift and efficient manner. + Participate in improvement projects and initiatives in addition to performing day-to-day tasks. + Ongoing review of system and processes to ensure departmental compliance. + Cross training between colleagues to ensure relevant cover is always in place. + Process other ad-hoc tasks as identified and required. Job Qualifications: + Essential + 3 plus years AP experience + Desirable + Business / Accounting degree or IATI (or similar) qualification Additional Skills/Preferences: + Essential + Excellent knowledge of AP procedures + Knowledge of accounting principles + Good organisational skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Good problem-solving skills and ability to use own initiative + Positive attitude + Ability to work under pressure + Desirable + Knowledge of SAP & Coupa systems would be advantageous + E-invoicing experience + French language Behavioural Competencies: Teamwork + Both Supports others and asks for and receives help from others + Understands and contributes to team objectives + Constructively resolves conflicts with team members + Gives opinions and listens to other member’s ideas during team meetings Customer Focus + Understand and acts on customer needs (including internal customers) + Approaches work from the perspective of “what customer problems will I solve” by doing this? + Works with “suppliers” to make sure that customer needs can be met Accountability + Is self-accountable for situations, attitudes and behaviors + Recognizes true intent of situations and owns their role in outcome whether positive or negative + Self-examines and learns from outcomes + Demonstrates willingness to renew attitudes and behaviors to achieve desired outcomes Communication + Communicates ideas, opinions, status and suggestions to individuals & groups + Written and verbal communications convey ideas and information in a concise, understandable and grammatically correct manner, using appropriate style and tone Leadership + Takes responsibility for strategic action and initiatives + Finds innovative solutions to Cadence problems (in business, people and technology areas) + Assesses alternative courses of action and seeks information needed to make timely decisions + Makes effective and efficient decisions and aligns actions with values + Participates in cross-group initiatives Additional Information: Cadence is committed to equal employment opportunity and employment equity throughout all levels of the organization.
