Pay Rate: $25 Location: Pittsburgh PA Job Type: Contract IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting an Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist responsible for the day to day activities surrounding vendor invoicing and payments, cash receipts, and the tracking receivables.  This role will also perform general accounting duties such as journal entries, reconciliations and assist with the month end close.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist Enter and process vendor invoices as they are received both physically and electronically Ensure invoice coding and cost allocation is correct in the general ledger Process and mail vendor checks for weekly accounts payable run Perform vendor setup and maintenance Provide timely and accurate reporting on accounts payable and receivable as requested Process donation and ticketing receipts via Tessitura subledger and reconcile to the general ledger Issue monthly statements to delinquent customers and perform follow-up to resolve payment issues Participate in the month end closing process, including account analysis and reconciliation Assist with annual independent audit, 990, and other compliance activities Other accounting tasks as requested by leadership
Requirements of the Accounts Payable and Receivable Specialist Associates degree or higher in Accounting or comparable experience Non-profit accounting experience preferred Proficient with Sage accounting software preferred Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in Microsoft 365, specifically Excel Comfort with high-pressure, fast-paced situations.
