One of Houston’s Largest Universities is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst who will be responsible for reviewing and processing payments for purchase orders, invoices, travel reimbursements, Student Stipends, direct pay vouchers and other check requests.Responsibilities:Processes invoices using local funds.Processes travel reimbursements for faculty and staff.Prepares, submits and processes state vouchers in USAS financial system using the universities state funds.Assists with planning, organizing, and conducting training TSU staff for payment requests and state policies for AP.Maintains master vendor files.Analyzes purchase vouchers, travel vouchers, credits, purchase order encumbrances, and/or Procurement Card (P-Card)/Travel Card transactions in accordance with university and State of Texas rules and regulations; approves or rejects vouchers through electronic workflow.Processes accrual entries/journal vouchers at year–end, reviews exception reports, and creates ad-hoc reports.Responsible for planning, organizing, and conducting training TSU staff regarding process flow, payment obligations and adherence to AP policies and procedures.Reviews and follows–up on account discrepancies regarding payments on accounts and serves as an external and internal liaison between departments, colleges, schools, and vendors.Analyzes any questionable invoice items, prices, or receiving and certifying signatures; obtains proper information and/or data regarding invoice payments.Organizes and maintains departmental files and records.Prepares, submits and processes state vouchers in USAS financial system to process payments.Analyzes payment information for 1099 forms and processes 1099.Qualifications and Requirements:Bachelor's degree required and/or one (1) to three {3) years of experience.Benefits and Perks:Pay range: $20.00-$23.00Medical, dental, and vision insurance optionsTraining and growth opportunitiesWeekly pay and convenient locationYour New Organization:

In addition, we also believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future & continued salary growth.
