Accounts Payable Analyst
Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in Clearwater, Florida. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where you will play a key role in managing financial transactions and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable processes, financial analysis, and ERP systems. Responsibilities: • Review and verify complex invoices for accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies, including matching purchase orders and contract terms. • Audit invoices and purchase records to ensure mathematical correctness and compliance with organizational standards. • Research and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoice processing, providing recommendations to improve workflows. • Utilize Oracle systems and other relational databases to manage data entry, retrieval, and specialized reporting needs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues within the accounts payable module and test system updates. • Ensure timely disbursement of funds in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. • Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring less experienced staff and providing training on accounts payable processes. • Work closely with external and internal auditors during audits to provide accurate financial documentation and analysis. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency within the accounts payable department. Requirements • Minimum of five years of experience in accounts payable or related financial roles, preferably in a highly automated environment. • Proficiency in Oracle systems and ERP applications, with a strong understanding of accounts payable modules. • Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree with at least one year of relevant experience. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to handle complex financial transactions. • Familiarity with auditing practices, accrual accounting, and financial analysis. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members and stakeholders. • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
