Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join a manufacturing team in Holland, Michigan. This contract position involves managing financial transactions with precision, ensuring compliance, and supporting vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounts payable processes and manufacturing finance, along with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
• Process vendor invoices accurately and in compliance with company policies, focusing on manufacturing-related transactions.
• Reconcile accounts payable records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and execute payments, including checks, wire transfers, and other methods, while adhering to vendor terms and payment schedules.
• Maintain detailed and organized documentation of all financial transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to verify invoice coding and approvals, ensuring accuracy and alignment with manufacturing processes.
• Conduct monthly account reconciliations to support accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account adjustments.
• Utilize QAD software to streamline accounts payable operations and improve efficiency.
• Analyze and optimize the accounts payable process to enhance operational performance.
• Support audits and compliance checks by providing accurate and timely financial records. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong proficiency in QAD software or similar ERP systems.
• Solid understanding of invoice processing, coding, and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with month-end close processes and journal entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve discrepancies efficiently.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
