Job Description
Primary Responsibilities: The Accounts Payable Administrator is primarily responsible for coding corporate invoices and creating payment batches daily. This position will also be responsible for assisting with Ad-Hoc projects provided by the AP Manager.
Skills & Competencies:
+ 3+ years of relevant accounting experience preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ High level of understanding of accounts payable software and Microsoft Excel
+ Proven time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and balance numerous task/projects in a multi system environment
+ Organization- Highly organized, can prioritize and concentrate on tasks to meet deadlines
+ Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to effectively communicate with vendors
+ Positive Attitude – Must maintain a positive, professional attitude in the workplace
Essential Job Functions:
Coding & Processing
+ Accurately code and enter high-volume corporate-level invoices in accordance with company policies.
Exception Queue Management
+ Daily management of invoice exception queue to route invoices to appropriate workflow, and communicate non-compliant invoices to vendors.
Daily Payment File Batching
+ Prepare and batch daily payment files according to specific guidelines and filters.
Key Metrics & Responsibilities:
+ Timely invoice processing within two business days.
+ Exception resolution turnaround time less than 1 week.
+ Daily payment batch accuracy.
+ Compliance with month-end close deadlines.
