Description We are looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position where you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Process vendor invoices with accuracy and ensure timely payments. • Verify and reconcile expense reports, purchase orders, and account coding. • Communicate with vendors to address invoice discrepancies and inquiries. • Execute payment transactions, including checks, wire transfers, and other methods. • Generate and distribute client or tenant invoices, ensuring proper documentation. • Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on overdue payments, and resolve delinquencies. • Post payments and reconcile financial accounts to maintain accurate records. • Collaborate with internal teams to improve financial workflows and processes. • Maintain detailed records of accounts payable and receivable activities, preparing regular reports. • Utilize accounting software such as Yardi to streamline processes and manage financial data effectively. Requirements • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Familiarity with accounting software like Yardi, Sage, or QuickBooks. • Basic knowledge of general accounting principles and Excel. • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a dynamic environment. • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges. • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams. • Experience in the real estate or property management industry is a plus but not required.
