Accounts Assistant SII (Spain Market) - 9 months fixed term contract

Job Description:

The Suministro Inmediato de Información (SII) is a platform to submit invoice data to the tax authority in Spain.

As an SII specialist, you will be responsible for the submission of a record of all invoices, payables and receivables, within 4 days of the invoice date to the Spanish authorities. 

This role is part of the collections department, which is overall responsible for gathering data from receivables collections, customers billing, payable invoiced and submission requirements in relation to billing.


What You’ll Do:

Statutory requirement to submit a record of all invoices, payables and receivables within 4 days of the issued invoice date to the Spanish authorities. Reviewing data from different sources and collating into the correct format to upload onto the government’s portal. Working with Accounts Payable and Fleet teams to resolve any issues with the data received. Communicating and working with the tax team to resolve any discrepancies between tax information submitted and payments performed for VAT returns by tax team. Complete monthly file for internal tax team on all invoices submitted. Uploading data to government website and resolving any errors to ensure the return is filed correctly and on time.  Responsible for timely and accurate responses to the Spanish tax authorities on any queries they may have about the information submitted. Other ad hoc tasks to support the overall Collections department.
 

What We’re Looking For:

Good excel level. Fluent Spanish speaker Attention to detail is essential. Experience in billing/finance/admin  Some knowledge of Spanish taxation would be advantageous.
