Accounting Supervisor GA

Job Summary

We are very excited to welcome our new Accounting Supervisor to our GA team!

The role is based in our Budapest GSS (hybrid model combining office & remote work). You’ll join a team of agile, customer-focused thinkers who collaboratively solve difficult business problems.

The Accounting Supervisor, Greater Asia is responsible for managing a team of Accountants, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial activities within the region. This role involves monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), advising on and executing mitigation plans, and ensuring compliance with regional regulations. The supervisor will also work on process improvements, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and provide thought leadership for Record to Report (R2R) processes. Key requirements include excellent English skills, a university degree in Accounting or Finance, relevant experience, and proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.

Please note that the role is supporting Greater Asia which requires morning shifts.

Manage a team of 10 accountants

Lead day-to-day operations for the accounting team while maintaining operational tasks 

Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy and timeliness, and highlight challenges to the operation leader 

Drive optimal utilization of the team 

Advise and execute mitigation plans to ensure smooth delivery of accounting activities 

Proactively escalate issues to the operation leader 

Participate in interviews and conduct timely performance reviews within the team 

Establish and maintain monthly reporting related to Record to Report (R2R) activities 

Work on process improvements and harmonization within the team 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process and system improvements 

Provide thought leadership for R2R processes, bringing new ideas and best practices 

CORE COMPETENCIES:

Strong computer/systems capability 

Proficiency in US GAAP and local GAAP / statutory / regulatory reporting 

Knowledge of local taxation is a plus

Strong communication and networking skills 

Consciousness of control and business ethics environment

Drive for results, Problem solving, Customer Focus, Strategic Agility

Team leadership skills

Qualifications

Education: University Accounting, Finance or Economics degree.

Excellent English language knowledge, both written and verbal

Experience:  3-5 years of finance and/or accounting experience or similar field, from which around 1 year of leadership experience

Certified Public Accountant, ACCA is a plus

Accounting & audit firm experience is a plus
