Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This is a Contract to permanent opportunity for an individual who excels in managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, and performing key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will thrive in an on-site environment and bring a strong commitment to accuracy and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Process invoices and support billing functions to maintain smooth financial operations. • Prepare and post journal entries to assist with monthly and quarterly close activities. • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure data integrity. • Deliver excellent customer service by addressing financial inquiries and resolving issues. • Utilize NetSuite and other relevant accounting systems to streamline workflows. • Collaborate with team members to enhance accounting processes and meet organizational goals. • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Provide support for ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Proficiency in processing invoices and performing account reconciliations. • Experience with journal entries and assisting in financial close activities. • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar accounting software. • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work on-site 100% of the time in Houston, Texas. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
