Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support our client with their accounting and financial operations. This contract opportunity requires demonstrated expertise in managing accounting processes, financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will excel in working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate and timely results. Key Responsibilities + Record and reconcile financial transactions in compliance with company policies and accounting standards. + Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking. + Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. + Prepare financial reports, including detailed reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analyses. + Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger (GL) accounts. + Ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards in all financial operations. + Collaborate with internal teams to analyze financial data and prepare operational reports. + Stay updated on accounting best practices and assist in improving accounting processes and efficiency. Requirements + Minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a contract role. + Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles. + Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. + Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail. + Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally within the organization.
