Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Travelers Rest, South Carolina. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow processes. The role provides an opportunity to work within the dynamic manufacturing industry, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. Responsibilities: • Prepare and analyze aging reports, issue invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely payments. • Process accounts payable transactions, including entering invoices, maintaining vendor records, and performing journal entries. • Oversee cash management activities to ensure proper allocation and flow of funds. • Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards. • Collaborate with internal teams to manage billing functions and resolve discrepancies. • Maintain detailed and organized financial records to support audits and reporting. • Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze financial data and improve reporting processes. • Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting regulations in all financial activities. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounting or related financial roles. • Proficiency in managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong skills in account reconciliation and general accounting practices. • Advanced knowledge of Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Ability to manage billing functions and resolve discrepancies effectively. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Familiarity with cash management procedures. • Experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus.
