Description We are looking for a skilled Accounting Specialist to join our team in Goose Creek, South Carolina. This Contract-to-Permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to key financial operations, including billing, record-keeping, and account reconciliation. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple accounting tasks efficiently. Responsibilities: • Process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and on time. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure financial records are complete and accurate. • Handle contract billing procedures, including invoicing and tracking payments. • Maintain and update financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. • Input and verify data in the Sage 100 accounting system, ensuring accuracy and consistency. • Collaborate with team members to ensure proper documentation of subcontractor insurance. • Assist with general accounting functions, including financial reporting and analysis. • Support quarterly financial reviews and contribute to bonus calculation processes. • Address and resolve discrepancies in financial data in a timely manner. • Provide administrative support for accounting operations as needed. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. • Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation practices. • Familiarity with Sage 100 accounting software is highly preferred. • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Previous experience in a similar accounting role is an advantage.
