Description We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our team in Stockton, California. This contract position is ideal for someone with a strong background in managing financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, billing, and account reconciliation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
• Manage accounts receivable functions, including invoicing and monitoring outstanding payments.
• Handle billing tasks, verifying charges and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Generate financial reports and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Address and resolve any accounting discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
• Support audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Proficiency in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Strong knowledge of billing functions and account reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with team members.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices.
