Accounting Specialist
Description A growing professional services organization is seeking a detail-driven and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join their finance team. This full-time, mid-level position is 100% on-site and offers the potential to transition from temporary to permanent employment. The role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and broad accounting experience, looking to contribute within a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Please note: This position is fully on-site. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available. Key Responsibilities: + Accurately receive and record incoming payments, including checks, credit card transactions, ACH/wires, and online payment platforms + Process daily deposits and ensure correct allocation of funds + Review, verify, and enter vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and client cost transactions + Perform accurate general ledger coding + Manage weekly check runs and ACH/wire batches + Maintain up-to-date vendor records and W-9 files + Create and update client and vendor accounts, including conducting conflict checks + Reconcile credit card and bank statements; research and resolve discrepancies + Respond to inquiries from vendors and clients regarding invoices and payments + Assist with year-end 1099 preparation and tax documentation + Organize, scan, and maintain both digital and paper financial records + Provide general support to finance, billing, and administrative functions Requirements Qualifications: + 3–5 years of recent accounting experience (must include accounts payable and accounts receivable) + Prior experience in a law firm or professional services environment preferred + Familiarity with conflict checks and billing/accounting systems (experience with Coyote Analytics is a plus) + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general data management software + Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills + Excellent verbal and written communication abilities + Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment + Demonstrated capability to work both independently and as part of a team + Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
