Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Springfield, Oregon. This role involves managing critical financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reconciliations, and supporting year-end accounting tasks. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed reconciliation of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Manage bank account reconciliations, ensuring timely identification and resolution of discrepancies. • Oversee the reconciliation of prepaid insurance accounts and organizational accounts. • Handle donation balances and ensure proper tracking and reporting. • Provide support for year-end financial processes and reporting requirements. • Assist with general accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable. • Execute billing functions with precision and adherence to company standards. • Collaborate with the team to maintain accurate financial records and documentation. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Proficiency in performing account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy. • Strong knowledge of billing functions and general accounting practices. • Familiarity with financial software and tools, such as Sage, is a plus. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members. • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
