Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Providence, Rhode Island. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to financial operations through expertise in accounts payable, receivable, and general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting software systems and ERP tools to support day-to-day financial processes. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts receivable processes, including preparing aging reports and addressing overdue accounts. • Oversee accounts payable functions, such as processing PO invoices and coordinating wire transfers. • Provide support during the month-end closing process, ensuring accurate financial reporting. • Perform general financial accounting tasks with precision and attention to detail. • Utilize accounting software systems and ERP tools to streamline operations and maintain data accuracy. • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. • Assist with auditing and reconciliation tasks to maintain integrity in financial records. • Handle billing functions and ensure timely and accurate invoicing. • Identify and address discrepancies in financial transactions promptly. Requirements • 2-5 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable, demonstrating attention to detail. • Proficiency in accounting software systems and ERP tools. • Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial processes. • Demonstrated ability to manage financial records with accuracy and efficiency. • Experience supporting month-end closing and auditing procedures. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards in financial operations.
