Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Hollywood, Maryland. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate financial transactions and maintaining the integrity of our accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit card reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Manage accounts receivable processes, including invoicing and payment tracking. • Oversee accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of payments. • Perform credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are properly recorded. • Utilize SYSPRO software to maintain and update financial records. • Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with auditing standards. • Handle billing functions and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Maintain accurate documentation and support reporting needs. • Assist with ERP-related accounting tasks to optimize financial workflows. • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations in all accounting practices. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting software systems, including SYSPRO. • Strong experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. • Familiarity with ERP systems and their application in accounting. • Solid understanding of auditing principles and billing functions. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage financial reconciliations. • Strong organizational and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. • Prior experience in a similar accounting role preferred.
