Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Specialist to join our team in Houston, Texas. This Contract-to-permanent position requires expertise in managing full-cycle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, along with a strong understanding of accounting principles. The ideal candidate will excel in using financial software, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the smooth operation of financial transactions. Responsibilities: • Manage the complete accounts payable and receivable cycle, including invoice processing, payment approvals, and vendor reconciliations. • Utilize accounting software, such as Sage Intacct, to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records. • Prepare detailed monthly financial reports and assist in audits to ensure compliance. • Resolve discrepancies related to invoices or payments promptly and effectively. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to support seamless financial operations. • Conduct bank reconciliations across multiple entities to ensure accuracy. • Collaborate with team members to provide training and support on accounting procedures. • Assist in the transition to new financial systems as needed. • Ensure adherence to internal policies and accounting standards in all processes. Requirements • Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable, with a focus on full-cycle processes. • Proficiency in financial software, including Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or other similar systems. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting. • Familiarity with ERP systems and other accounting tools. • Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and vendor interactions. • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. • Experience with bank reconciliations and auditing processes. • Knowledge of accounting practices and standards, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
